Phuket rates among the top 10 scuba diving destinations in the world. Spectacular reefs, Unusual underwater rock formations, and huge variety of marine life provide great opportunities for divers at all levels.

Phuket has four fine golf courses, all of which have been designed to take full advantage of the island's tropical trees and abundant water. Many visitors come solely for golf, but accompanying family members rarely complain about being left to laze by the pool or on the beach.

Standards are high and there are enough challenges to stretch scratch players (the Blue Canyon Country Club hosted both the 1994 Johnnie Walker Classic Golf Tournament, the Honda Invitational tournament and the 1998 Johnnie Walker Classic).

Phuket ATV is located within a private park in the middle of a mangrove forest. ATV tour guides escort you along natural tracks through rubber plantations, jungle and deserted beaches. An ATV nature tour provides a unique opportunity to see Phuket's natural beauty and learn about its environment.

Phuket has a 750 metre go-kart track, the Patong Go-kart Speedway, with flood lighting for evening races and a wide range of go-karts. These include high speed super karts, standard single karts, two-seater karts and kids' karts. The track also has a 30-seat round-view restaurant and seating area for spectators.

Horse riding is a fun and romantic way to explore Phuket's natural scenery. First time riders are escorted along small inner roads through jungle and plantations surrounding the riding clubs. Longer rides will take you along some beautiful beaches. Programmes are usually between 30 minutes to 2 hours. Prices start at 300 Baht for a 30-minute ride per person.
